Blessed are the zombies is by far one of the more interesting blogs we have written this far for the reason the world is no more and isn’t going to be the way it used to be anymore. Even though the world is filled with zombies that aren’t living human beings anymore, the church will always remain the same it will always be a center of solving the problems that we endure which can be good and bad situations. The thoughts that run through my head about this is there still hope and will our prayers be answered? Does the church have its meaning still? In my opinion the people that are still involved in this zombie apocalypse either are true believers and haven’t given up hope with their Christianity and the others that have given up hope and feel the church won’t do any good in this zombie apocalypse. The church is an important place for worship, release stress levels, and to have a better relationship with Christ himself, to me the church will always be necessary.
The episode I am pertaining this information to would be the episode in the third season where the group is back at the prison and they also have the new individuals from Newberry there with them and I honestly feel that new surrounding they’re in is considered their church. The reasoning behind that is just because these people have been through so much stuff with dealing with the zombie apocalypse and losing family members was a lot to deal with but this was a new start for them, it gave them hope. With this new home it gave the group and the new members something to smile about and something to look forward to when they woke up instead of constantly being scared to go to bed or to continuously worry about something. The prison isn’t a church, it doesn’t look like one, or will ever be one but for the most part of that feeling was it brought uplifting hopefulness and faith. Herschel, one of the main characters also carried his bible all of the time and he had hope he continued to read his bible for the reason he believed heavenly on his Christian ways which is great to see because it shows he still believes and he as stayed to his ways from the start which if he can pray in a prison then it shows that praying can be positive anywhere.
With the kingdom of God when referring it to the zombie apocalypse means the rule of an eternal sovereign over all creatures and things. To me this means the ruling of God will forever rule no matter what happens even if there are flesh eating zombies in the world. Which goes back to the church, the church embraces anyone that comes to create a better relationship with him. This thought reframes my thoughts in Christianity in many ways but it just reminds me no matter how bad things get the church or somewhere we can become better with the Lord we will always be okay in the end.
